Behind the Scenes at Urban NYC
Urban NYC was founded in 2003 by Miyazu Sato, who began her career as an editorial assistant at Allure magazine. Her formative years (1 - 18) were spent in Tokyo and she has a BFA in fine art from Cornell.
In 2015, Victoria Figueroa joined the team after coordinating in house for photographer Serge Nivelle and freelancing in various roles in the industry. She was born and raised in Texas and has a BA in mass communications from SHSU.
With years of experience and almost a decade working side by side, Miyazu and Victoria have streamlined their workflow. Things stay smooth and buttoned up on set, but they know how to have a good time and truly enjoy the process. The best part? All the great people they meet and get to hang out with along the way.
